Explore Agriculture, Food Security & Natural Resources is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to scholarship that strengthens sustainable agriculture, food systems, rural livelihoods and environmental stewardship.

AIMS

The journal advances reliable, solution-oriented research and informed debate on the relationships among agricultural production, food and nutrition security, ecosystems, climate resilience, markets, policy and rural development. It encourages work that connects sound science with practical and equitable outcomes.

SCOPE

The journal welcomes research on:
• Crop, livestock and integrated production systems
• Agroecology, soil health and sustainable intensification
• Food and nutrition security and sustainable food systems
• Postharvest management, value chains and food loss
• Agricultural economics, policy and rural livelihoods
• Climate adaptation and mitigation in agriculture

ARTICLE TYPES

Original research articles, review articles, policy analyses, case studies, perspectives and short communications are considered.

PEER REVIEW AND OPEN ACCESS

Submissions undergo editorial screening and double-blind peer review. Authors retain copyright, and published articles are openly accessible under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0).

The journal serves researchers, educators, students, policymakers, extension professionals, development practitioners and organisations working across agriculture, food systems and natural resources.

PUBLICATION MODEL

Articles are published online after completing editorial review and production. The journal publishes continuously within two issues each year.
